At Berkshire Hardwoods, Inc. (BHI) our goal is to produce the highest quality lumber for our customers. We strive to obtain the highest yield from each log we saw.
After the logs are debarked BHI's primary log breakdown is with a PHL 6 foot bandsaw. The log is squared into a cant that is then fed into a PHL 6 foot band resaw to further capture the highest grade recovery possible.
The boards are next edged on a Cornell edger and are double end trimmed on a Newman drop saw trimmer before being inspected by our NHLA certified lumber inspector.
